How it works

Three steps, no account

  1. Drop your SVG

Any SVG with paths or shapes. Text must be converted to paths first (Object to Path in Inkscape, Create Outlines in Illustrator).

  2. Set the size

Leave the width empty to keep the SVG's own size, or type the width you want in mm or inches.

  3. Download the DXF

Check the result in the viewer - open contours are marked red - and download it.

FAQ

Questions

Are curves kept?

Curves become polylines that stay within 0.01 mm of the original, which every laser and CNC program reads. Circles stay true circles.

Why is my DXF the wrong size?

SVG files from some programs carry no units. Type the width you want and DXFKit scales the drawing to it exactly.

What is skipped?

Text that is not converted to paths, embedded pictures, clip paths and masks. Hidden layers are skipped too.

Is it free?

Yes. Every converter, the viewer and the generators are free, with no sign-up and no watermark.
