How it works

Three steps, no account

  1. Drop your JPG

A logo, a silhouette, line art or a clean scan. Dark shapes on a light background trace best.

  2. Set width and threshold

Type the width of the result in mm or inches. Move the threshold until the shapes are solid; Invert traces light shapes on dark.

  3. Download the DXF

The outlines open in the viewer with the cut check, so you see what the laser will cut before you download.

FAQ

Questions

Which pictures trace well?

Logos, silhouettes, line art and scans with clear dark shapes on a light background. Photos with soft shadows trace into noise: cut the subject out and raise the contrast first, or use the threshold slider.

My scan comes out noisy

Raise the speckle filter to drop small spots and move the threshold until the shapes are solid. A scan at 300 dpi or more gives cleaner edges.

Will the DXF have the right size?

Yes. You set the width in millimetres or inches, the DXF records its units, and the height follows the picture's proportions. LightBurn, LaserGRBL, RDWorks, xTool Creative Space and CAD programs import it at that size.

Is it free?

Yes. Every converter, the viewer and the generators are free, with no sign-up and no watermark.
