Questions
What kerf should I use?
Cut a 20 mm square and measure it: the kerf is 20 minus the measured size. Diode lasers burn about 0.1-0.15 mm, CO2 lasers 0.15-0.25 mm in 3 mm plywood.
Do the joints need glue?
With the right kerf the fingers press-fit. Wood glue makes the box permanent.
Can I make a box without a lid?
Yes, tick open top: you get five panels and a clean top edge.
Is it free?
Yes. Every converter, the viewer and the generators are free, with no sign-up and no watermark.
