What it finds before your laser does
Open contours
Shapes that do not close. Loose ends are marked red, because that part will not drop out.
Duplicate lines
The same line drawn twice is cut twice and burns the edge.
Text
Most laser programs skip text entities. Convert them to outlines first.
Real size
Width and height in millimetres and inches, so a part in inches is not cut 25 times too small.
Cut length
Total path length and the cutting time at the speed you set.
Three steps, no account
Open a DXF
Drop the file on the page or choose it. It opens right here, nothing is uploaded.
Check it
Pan and zoom the drawing. The check marks open contours in red and lists duplicate lines, text and the part's size.
Save or cut
Save the drawing as SVG, PDF or PNG, or send the DXF to your laser once the check says it is ready.
Questions
Is my DXF uploaded anywhere?
No. The viewer, the check and the SVG, PDF and PNG exports all run in your browser; the DXF file never leaves your computer.
Which DXF files open?
ASCII DXF from AutoCAD R12 to 2018 and from LibreCAD, QCAD, Fusion 360, SolidWorks, Inkscape, LightBurn and other programs: lines, arcs, circles, polylines, splines, ellipses, text, dimensions, hatches, blocks and layers. Binary DXF and DWG are not supported yet.
Does it work on a phone?
Yes. Open the page on an iPhone or Android phone, pick the DXF from Files or Drive, and pinch to zoom.
What does the ready-to-cut check look for?
Open contours (shapes whose ends do not meet, so the part never drops out), duplicate lines (cut twice, they burn the edge), text that laser software will not cut, splines and lines branching at one point. It also measures the part in millimetres and inches and adds up the cut length.
Is it free?
Yes. Every converter, the viewer and the generators are free, with no sign-up and no watermark.
